Instructions for use
The standard dosage is 100-200mg, or 4mg for each kilogram of weight, is taken in case of targeted sleep suppression, or after a sleep in the morning to maintain a vigorous state and without harm to sleep at night.
In clinical use for the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness associated with narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea, recommended doses are generally from 200 to 400 mg per day. The dose can be taken once in the morning or in two doses (in the morning and at noon). When used to enhance physical performance, typical effective dosages are in the range of 100-400 mg. The drug is often taken 2-3 hours before the sporting event. Note that side effects may depend on the dose. It is often advised to start using Modafinil at the lowest effective dose, and increase it by 50-100 mg per dose until the optimal level is established. Areas of application of the drug are huge and, in essence, include any kind of sports, focused on aerobic loads or endurance. The drug is also great for athletes performing strength or speed exercises in short repetition intervals (anaerobic loads), such as shot put, pole vaulting or long jump. Modafinil is not a popular drug among bodybuilders, as it does not directly affect muscle growth or lower body fat levels. Some, however, believe that the drug is an effective stimulant before exercise, especially during periods of fatigue or loss of physical activity after hard work or for other reasons.
